COURSE: McCleery Golf Course
HOLE: 1
DATE: 2007-08-30
STORY: My 2nd shot on the par five ended up in the rough about 80 yards from the green and behind a large fir tree. Thought I was dead as I couldn't see the green and the tree was 50 ft high. Opened up my sand wedge and prayed. Hit it good and thought it might be on the green but when I looked it wasn't there. After searching all around the green you guessed it - it was in the hole for EAGLE.

We all thought good shot, should be a good birdie attempt. Walked up to the hole, and no ball to be found, thinking i bounced over. Russ said check the hole, and i did. Yippee. Hole in One

HOLE: 17th hole
DATE: 2007-03-20
STORY: I had a tee shot to the right and found the ball in some medium rough and really muddy, but I hit my second shot to go for the green in two so I can have a put for eagle. I hit a 7 iron to the front edge of the green from 170 yards away and the flag was in the back end of the green from where I was putting it was in and around 45ft and I saw alittle right to left break and just thought to my self to hit it close and why get it close when I sunk the putt right in?!

COURSE: Meadow Gardens
HOLE: 16th
DATE: 2007-02-02
STORY: A par 4 378 yard dog leg right. I hit my tee shot 225 yards and left it a few yards to the left of the fairway bunker. For my second I used a 6 iron and really didn't get under it, but the ball travelled straight and kept on bouncing. It hit the green and kept rolling all the way and into the cup for an eagle. Have never eagled a hole before. All that is left now is a hole in one!

BY: digitalart
COURSE: Cordova Bay Golf Club
HOLE: 6
DATE: 2006-04-21
STORY: Longest putt ever made... OK, Longest Putt I ever made. The 6th green at Cordova Bay is really wide - about 40 yards at the widest point. The pin was tucked in the front left, and I managed to hit the ball about 35 yards away from the pin, but still on the green. I laughed at my chances, and called the putt -- This will be the longest put I will ever make. -- It was. The 100 foot right-to-left, 8ft breaker died softly in the hole.

COURSE: Cordova Bay Golf Club
HOLE: 8th
DATE: 2006-08-27
STORY: After pulling my tee-shot a bit off the fairway of this 424 yard hole, my ball found a spot beside a very thick evergreen tree, about 170 yards from the middle of the green. It was impossible to hit my left-handed shot, so I turned the club upside down (toe-down), made some practice strokes from the OTHER side of the ball ;-) . I made the same swing at the ball, and it worked perfectly - almost. The 5-iron righty shot drew to the left of the green, short of the trap. Up and down for a par. 20+ years of golfing, and this is the first time I used that shot. Fun stuff.

STORY: Tracy and I were playing "Gimme Golf" in the evening. My drive was a good one and left me about 60-70 yards to the hole. I pitched the shot up in the air and it went rolling towards the hole and the dropped between the edge and the flagstick. It actually didn't drop right into the hole, but got stuck!! The hole is a par 4 and I got my first EAGLE!!!

HOLE: 14
DATE: 2006-08-20
STORY: I hit my tee shot approx 200yds, however because of the hook it made it up to the 13th fairway. I then had a lousey 2nd shot (whiffed it 20 yards)...and then connected on the 3rd...but again it went across the fairway onto the next fairway. this time it was on a 70degree slope, approx 90 yards from the pin, under some cedars...I used my 8 iron and chipped it up onto the green, rolled approx 10 feet and into the hole...what luck!! best shot of my short golf life ...so far.

COURSE: Falls Golf and Country Club
HOLE: #16
DATE: 2005-05-01
STORY: I was having a ho-hum day, until I reached the slightly elevated tee at the 16th. My drive flirted with the water along the left side but stayed in the fairway. The ball rolled to a stop over 350 yards away from the blue tees on this 592 yard par-5 (over 600 from the champ tees). My second shot was pure bravado, hitting my 3-wood 235 yards over water all the way to the green. I missed the 18-footer for eagle, but what a birdie! Hoo-Ahhhhh.

STORY: Twice in the same round I chipped in from the rough surrounding the green and didn't have to take my putter out of my bag; how sweet it is! On the 4th, I chipped the ball and sent it rolling right at the hole, it died just at the hole. At the 15th I flopped my shot way up in the air and it took two bounces, rolled a bit, and dropped in! A great day! Shot a 96 (net).

COURSE: Cedar Hill Municipal Golf Course
HOLE: 5th
DATE: 2006-02-19
STORY: While trying to squeeze in one more hole before it was too dark to find my way back to the clubhouse, I teed it up on the 5th hole, a 260 yard par-4, over large oak trees to multi-tiered elevated green. The pin was tucked under the greenside oak tree, on the back and topmost tier. My drive soared high and my lefty hook landed perfectly on the green stopping on the top tier, 10 feet from the cup. The eagle putt was made, but it was the drive that stole the show. Tom witnessed the drive, but did not see the result. Tom - I guess I owe you a beer!

COURSE: Madge Lake Golf Resort
HOLE: Hole # 8
DATE: 2005-07-16
STORY: I was taking my second shot from the top of the hill to an elevated green. The distance was approximately 160 yards, so using my 5 iron I aimed at the left side of the green. Hitting what was one of my better use of a swing, the ball landed on the left side of green and proceeded to roll towards the hole. From the distance I was away, it looked as though the ball might actually roll into the hole. But, alas, it stopped before doing so. Upon reaching the green, much to my delight, the ball had come to rest about 6 inches from the hole. Despite all the jokes from my golf party about missing the putt, I managed to sink it for one of my very few birdies on this course.

COURSE: Whitefish, Montana (S)
HOLE: 16th Par 3 (136 yds.)
DATE: 2005-09-16
STORY: It was the start of our annual golf trip jaunt to the Whitefish area. I had played the course before but I really didn't remember the holes. It was getting a little dusk and the cup was hidden by the front sandtrap lip. My 9 iron felt good but I lost track of the ball. I heard a clank and a roar from the group on the 17th tee. It wasn't sinking in but the guys kept telling me that it was an ace. Sure enough, my first jar. It costs me two rounds of drinks afterwards but what a way to start the weekend.

COURSE: Gorge Vale Golf Club
HOLE: 15
DATE: 2005-08-03
STORY: Mens' Night at Gorge Vale. Playing off the white tees made things a bit easier. On the par-5 15th hole, playing 490 yards, my approach shot was hit with a 6-iron from 177 yards, stopping 2 feet from the cup for a kick-in Eagle... followed by a triple-bogey 6 on the par-3 16th... That's golf.

COURSE: Olympic View Golf Club
HOLE: 14th
DATE: 2005-06-02
STORY: I started play on the first hole, just after a shotgun tournament had cleared the course. By the time I reached the 14th at the far end of the course, there was nobody around when my 5-iron from 190 yards landed short and rolled into the cup for an eagle-2. Jumping up and down like a fool on a deserted course - priceless.

DATE: 2005-07-27
STORY: Talk about streaky... After my pitch-in eagle on the 1st hole 2 days before, today I drove my ball onto the green of the 313 yard par-4 7th hole. My 35 foot eagle putt was pretty speedy, but the hole got in the way again... on my way to 4-under front 9.

COURSE: Cedar Hill Municipal Golf Course
HOLE: 1
DATE: 2005-07-25
STORY: This fine summer evening, I teed off, hitting a poor drive on the 320 yard par 4 first hole. My drive landed in the rough, about 50 yards back. I pitched the ball with my gap wedge just short and above the hole. We watched as the ball inched closer and then disappeared for an eagle. Gotta love those quick starts!
