Situated on the edge of Carlyle, this course is very popular with passing tourists on their way to White Bear Lake and Moose Mountain Provincial Park. The course offers large new bent grass greens and wide open fairways lined with the many varieties of trees that were planted by local volunteers. Many of the gently rolling greens are guarded by grass bunkers, which make for some tricky approach shots. The most challenging hole on the course is the 196 yard par 3 fifth. This undulating green is guarded by deep grass bunkers to catch wayward shots left and right. If you are too long off the tee you are looking at a difficult up-and-down, as the back of the green slopes steeply away. The course is a delight to walk with its gentle fairways and short distances between greens and the next tee. For those who prefer to ride, rental power carts are also available. Carlyle Golf Club’Äôs straight forward layout caters to young and old alike.
