Pasquia Park Golf Course
Lying adjacent to a tight bend in the Carrot River, the Pasquia Park Golf Course
benefits from the scenic landscaping of the river valley. Starting high on the prairies with
its first two holes, the course then descends into a bowl formed by the valley, where the
terrain becomes lushly wooded and gently rolling. The third tee box is where this
transformation begins. It sits atop the valley rim and looks out over the golf course below -
including its own fairway, which is tightly defined by trees. Take a moment to enjoy the view,
for it yields a spectacular preview of the golf that awaits. Mature spruce, poplar and low
lying brush accent the course nicely, providing a punishing rough for your wayward shots. The
trees are mostly evident near the tees, where they form narrow chutes for your drives on seven
fairways. The par four 6th has just such a chute, which helps make this the most difficult
hole on the course. Not only will your drive have to be straight, but your approach shot will
have to be equally precise. Trees to the left of the green, and the river immediately behind
it to the right, present little room for error with your second shot. Sitting on the opposite
bank of the river’Äôs bend are 72 electrical campsites, complete with gazebo, shower facilities,
playground, swimming and paddling pools. It makes an ideal setting for group reunions and
family get-togethers. The site is very popular during the summer months so, if you are
interested, you are advised to book early. Try the new driving range and the 18 hole mini-golf
- something for everyone at Pasquia Park
