Oxley Beach Golf Course
Richard and Christine Froese, owners of the Oxley Beach Golf Course for 20 years warmly welcome you to "Canada's Southernmost Golf Course"! It is a scenic Par 3 overlooking the shores of Lake Erie, just half an hour south of Windsor. Course designer, Byron Hatfield, set up this excellent short track in 1963. At 2,380 yards, it's great for both beginners and the avid player to practice threir short game. With sandy soil, drainage is superb! The lay of the land is fairly level, gently sloping toward the lake and marsh area - a key point to remember when putting! graced with large shady trees and cooler offshore breezes, the course has lush fairways and immaculate greens. The course's signature hole is the 13th with a small pond in front of the tee and marsh along the left! You will leave this hole impressed with its serene beauty, enhanced by the occasional sighting of deer, fox and snapping turtles. Conviently located along the Lake Erie Northshore Wine Rroute, the drive to Oxley Beach presents an opportunity to visit several estate wineries, Klassen's blueberry farm and many roadside fruit and vegetable stands!
