Buck Ridge Golf Course
Buck Ridge Golf Course is situated in a scenic country setting of rolling hills and
forested area. It was designed taking advantage of the existing contours of the land. Sand
traps at every hole are strategically placed to reward good shot making, yet allow the high
handicapper an alternate approach to the green. Ponds have been used extensively and come into
play on the first five holes of the course. The fairways were seeded using a blend of three
Kentucky bluegrasses and the greens seeded with Canadian Penncross bent grass. An irrigation
system was installed throughout the course for proper maintenance. As a result, Buck Ridge
Golf Course is hailed as having one of the best playing conditions in Northern Ontario. The
first hole, a 160 yd. par 3 is surrounded by water on three sides and features two large
bunkers. Though it is not the most difficult hole on the course, it demands special
concentration from the players. The hole plays downhill from an elevated tee and requires
proper club selection, especially in windy conditions. Scoring well on the first hole of play
always sets up an exciting round of golf. The 2900 yd par 35 course is made up of one par 5,
two par 3's and six par 4's. Each hole offers four separate tee blocks to
accommodate all levels of play. A combination of blue and gold blocks or the shorter red and
white blocks produce a challenging 18 hole round that plays to a par 71. Experience a course
built in harmony with nature in a tranquil country setting. Experience Buck Ridge Golf Course.
We look forward to welcoming you.
