The northwest shore of Shoal Lake provides a tranquil setting for Lakeside Golf Club. This challenging par 36 is well lined with thick, low lying shrubs and trees. Level fairways and greens char¬‚ac¬‚ter¬‚ize Lakeside, a course where (if you can keep your ball on target) you should have a pretty good game. The biggest challenge you will face here likely resides on the 4th fairway. This huge 552 yard hole has a dogleg left, virtually guaranteeing that three strokes will be required to reach the green. There is a ladies tee on this hole which shortens the fairway to 448 yards. Lakeside has an excellent irrigation system, providing good playing conditions throughout the golf season. In the near future the course has plans to increase the number of water hazards and sandtraps. Currently, water is only in play on the 8th and 9th fairways, where the lake lies to the east side of the course.
