The Selkirk Golf & Country Club is a finely maintained facility lying on the west bank of the historic Red River. located approximately 20 minutes north of the city of Winnipeg. Club House facilities include a dining room and screened in porch to enjoy a variety of excellent meals. Selkirk is home of PGA tour professional Glen Hnatiuk who hosts the Annual Glen Hnatiuk Investors Group Charity Tournament The front 9 holes are well treed and possess small greens. The back 9 are similarly treed, play longer and the greens become more generous. When playing the par four 11th, you will need a very long and straight tee shot to make the corner of this dogleg left. If you fail to accomplish this you will most certainly be scrambling for par as you will have a very poor ’Äúlook’Äù at the green. It is Selkirk’Äôs most difficult hole. The 17th and 18th par four holes are both protected by water in the front and on the sides making them too very challenging. The most scenic hole of the course is the 16th. This par three has an elevated tee which looks out over a fairway surrounded by mature forest. The green here is well protected by bunkers.
