Kokanee Springs Golf Resort
One of the courses along the Kootenay shoreline, the Kokanee Springs Golf Resort is
6600 yards of pure golfing pleasure. It was built according to a design by renowned architect
Norman Woods, and takes maximum advantage of the natural assets of its scenic setting. The
land was originally the site of many pioneer home¬‚steads, and Woods was careful to incorporate
as many of the beautiful beech, chestnut, maple and hawthorn trees the pioneers planted into
his layout. The majestic course is no only surrounded by incomparable scenery it is accented
with over 30,000 sq feet of colorful flowerbeds creating a park like setting. The course
features a plenitude of water and sand, plus some very distinctive tee boxes. Many of the 18
tees are elevated, some spectacularly so, and combine for a total of 450 feet of vertical drop
to their landing areas. Kokanee Springs has a new 38 unit lodge that provides luxurious
lodging in a rustic setting, complimenting its existing accommodations.
