The Bridges of Claresholm Golf Club
Welcome to Southern Alberta’Äôs newest 18 hole golf course. Just one hour south of Calgary, the new Les Furber designed back nine opened in the spring of 2005, adding to the existing nine holes which was created in 1974 giving a challenge to all levels of play. With the addition of the new back nine, this diverse 18 hole layout features 6847 test filled yards from the Black Tees, to a less daunting challenge of 5566 yards from the Forward (Red) tees. Water is a possibility on 12 of the 18 holes, but for those whose focus is sharp, the water does not pose a serious threat. Each of the two nines carry their own signature. The front side is a more traditional design with trees, gently contoured greens, and softer bunkering. The back nine sports a more’ÄúLinks’Äù feel, with more rolling hills, deeper bunkers and more spacious fairways. Either nine can be scored well upon, but neither is a giveaway. Though the golf course is the main attraction, other amenities include a driving range, fine dining in our restaurant, a full service Pro Shop, and golf lessons. With 300 members at the club, Men’Äôs, Ladies, and Senior leagues are available to those who wish to participate. Lastly, the mandate of The Bridges at Claresholm Golf Club is to provide affordable golf to the residents of Claresholm, it’Äôs members, and to our out of town guests. This is truly the case!
