Valleyview Riverside Golf Club
Valleyview Riverside Golf Club is a challenging and picturesque public 9 hole golf course situated alongside the Little Smokey River. It is located 12 kms south of Valleyview on Highway 43. Because of its location down by the river, it is much less affected by wind. It was built on an old river bottom and this explains the rolling fairways that rarely gives you a level lie and makes every round a new challenge. The second obstacle you must avoid is the many trees that line the fairways and some that are in the middle of your fairway. Although not a long course, it requires accurate shots and good course management and is a treat to play because of its good greens that hold the ball well and putt true. The 2nd hole is our signature hole that gives both the locals and tourists many headaches. It is a par 5 - 535 yard long that requires a tee shot to carry a water hazard and must not be too far left or right as there is out of bounds. The second shot must be hit far enough to give you a clear shot to the green. Because of the trees around the green and its slight dogleg this green is rarely hit in 2 shots. One of the toughest par 5’Äôs in the Peace Country.
