Spruce Meadows Golf and Country Club
One of Northern Alberta’Äôs most chal¬‚leng¬‚ing courses, Spruce Meadows welcomes golfers with its quiet country setting and friendly atmosphere. The course is most noted for its extraordinarily large greens, the largest in Western Canada. Some of these greens approach half an acre in size. One of the more enjoyable and chal¬‚leng¬‚ing holes on the course is the long par five 8th. Both your first and second drive are restricted on this 622 yard double dogleg due to the presence of water hazards. This leaves at least a 150 yard approach shot over water to the 8th’Äôs elevated green. A great hole for those who love a challenge! Another fun hole is the 4th. This 158 yard par three has virtually no fairway thanks to the pres¬‚ence of a large water hazard. Golfers are aided, however, by the size of their target on the other side of the water - one of Canada’Äôs largest greens. In 2008 - check out our new campground!
